I posted a portfoloio on http://www.deviantart.com/. I Entered this macro in a contest yesterday.I need to post some more brushes and background and a recipe.I am a little behind.I hope to get caught up this weekend.Heres the photo of the macro.Its a marble I made on glass rods.

Lampworking Today

I havent written in a while.I was a little discouraged because it doesnt seem anyone is reading it.But I will be posting again and I will try to get more people to read it.

Today I will be working on my torch.I am going to make holders for the marbles I make They are going in a gallery in the spring.I really enjoy playing on my torch.I dont get to do it as often because I have my granddaughter every day but I am working on that.

Recipe for the week

Brocolli Cassorole

1 bag of frozen brocolli. thawed I put it in the microwave for 5 minutes

8 oz of grated cheddar cheese

1 egg

1/2 cup of mayo

1/2 onion chopped to small piece

1 can of cream of mushroom soup

I put the brocolli in the dish I will be cooking in.After I thaw the brocolli then I add the other things in the same dish.
Put in oven at 350 for 30 minutes or until the top is brown.

I had a bad day today.My Husky got hit by a car and was killed.He was 1 year old.I have dragonfly brushes for photoshop ready I will try to get them up today but I have been crying all day so I probably wont get it done till tomorrow.I guess it doesnt really matter no one is reading this yet.I just needed to write it down.I asked my husband to get me choclate you know the comfort food.
My daughter and son in law are making me dinner.Its been a rough year we lost 2 dogs within 6 months from cancer and old age so him dying has made the third in a little over a year.
One the lighter side of life I had good news my grandaughter who is 11 months is starting to take her first steps.She took 6 today my daughter called to give me the good news to lift my spirits.So I guess there is good in this day.I will post again tomorrow.
I have pictures of my flannel puff quilt I made for my bed.I will post them tomorrow.

Recipe Of The Week

Sausage and Peppers

A package of Sausage You can use chicken sausage or pork I like the Italian Flavor
1 tbls. oregano
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 can hunts tomato sauce
3 peppers they can be green or red sliced in slivers not to thin
2 onions sliced

Put sausage in a skillet with about a 1/2 cup of water
add oregano and garlic powder.Cook sausage for about 10 minutes over medium heat.Cut the sausage into small slices mine are usually 1 inch thick.Do this in the pan because the juice from the sausage stays in the pan.
Now take the onions and peppers put in the pan add the can of tomato sauce.Then fill the can half way with water pour in.Let this simmer with a lid until the onions and peppers are softened.I like them not to soft but do to your taste.Then its done.

It can be served over rice or bread. Enjoy

Debbie Gays Blog

This is new to me but I wanted to do a blog where I can share some of my recipes.I also do photoshop and love making brushs for it and so I want to share that.

I do lots of creative things and on my blog I will give directions on some things like lampworking.For those who dont know what that is it is using a torch and melting glass.

I also want people to ask questions of things they would like to learn if I dont know how to do it I will look up the answer and try to give them an answer.

The Snowstorm

Now for a funny story for the day.

I have 2 dogs one is a pom and one is a husky.We were having a major snow storm we got 2 feet.

I let the husky who's name is Tonto out and he made a path in the snow.So I let the pom Mocha out he went to the end of the deck.

Tonto decided he wanted to play so he grabbed Mochas tail and started pulling him thru the snow.This is something he likes to do and is always getting in trouble for it.

I was yelling at Tonto and throwing snowballs but he wouldn't let go.

I went in the house put on my husbands work shoes on.I went out and closed the door behind me.Then I took a step the lace of the boot was stuck in the door.

I fell into the 2 feet of snow.Well now I'm stuck I cant get up because everything I reached for was to far away.

I finally grabbed a bench and slid my butt over so I could get up but it took a couple of minutes.I was full of snow of course the dogs came over to see what was going on.

Tonto got in trouble.I wish I had it on video so I could send it to funniest video if they have that any more.
